“Social Security, the Federal Budget, and the Federal Debt”

The financial status of the Social Security Trust Funds need strengthening, largely because of fundamental changes in the demographic composition of the US population.  This discussion will focus on the extent of the projected shortfall in financing and what has caused this shortfall.  In addition, the role that the Social Security program and its finances play in the federal budget deficits and measures of federal debt will be explored.


Note:  Registration is open through Wednesday, 3-09-11.  Anyone desiring to attend after this date will just walk in at the door, but cannot be guaranteed the lunch will be available.  (Please wait to check in until all prepaid or reserved people have checked in for seating)
