"Health Care: Getting Past Groundhog Day"
Innovation is the key to improving health and controlling costs, yet we’ve spent 70 years gradually shutting down our capacity to innovate. America’s endlessly repetitious argument over health care has touched on many questions: Public or private? Federal or state? Heavy or light regulation? But both left and right have failed to ask what may be the most important question: “How open should the health care system be to innovation by outsiders?” Redirecting our national conversation toward innovation is critical to our health and wealth in the 21st Century.
